|The latest dragon clutch has hatched successfully. Yet for the time being, the focus seems to have slid off the dragons. There's been a spike in volcanic activity around Landing, and for once, it's not Thread the colonists are worried about.

Full Name: Audley Elizabeth Villemaire
Nicknames: Oddball, Bess
Occupation: Your character's occupation/rank; if they do not have a specific job you can simply put 'colonist' or 'civilian'.
Played By: Imogen Poots
Appearance: Audley has wavy, shaggy blonde hair that she prefers to keep shoulder length. Given her choice in occupation she usually keeps it bound up and out of her way. Ice blue eyes look out at you shyly from beneath finely arched eyebrows. That combined with a mouth that looks a second away from a shy smile combine to make her rather pretty.
The girl is fairly tall and slender as a reed, only a hint of curves here and there to speak of. Her clothing choices are as understated as her personality – no loud colors for her, oh no. She prefers comfort over style all day every day.
Personality: Audley is what you might call shy. She’s a quiet thing that tends to keep to herself. Social situation are a little awkward, as she’s never quite sure what to say or how to say it. The difficulty isn’t that she doesn’t have the words, but rather that she second guesses whether or not they’re the right words, and she gets hung up on that. She hates it because she wants to make friends and connections, but she’s so sure she’ll be bad at it that most times she ends up not putting much effort into it.
She speaks softly, and moves softly, and basically just tries to keep from making waves. Audley has issues standing up for herself, and for anyone else, and if a situation presents itself where she should speak up and doesn’t she tends to feel extremely guilty for it.
When she does make a friend, she is warm and kind and gentle. Audley will do just about anything for people she cares about, and that makes her very easy to take advantage of. As much as she hates making waves in a general sense she will avoid it at all costs with those she cares about. It’s just easier to concede and nod and agree than it is to argue and fight, even if she knows she’s right.
It’s also rather clear that, when it comes to most situations, Audley’s confidence is not all it should be. There are things that she knows she can do and do well, and when she’s performing those tasks she exudes a kind of quiet, subtle confidence. It’s expressed more in her movements and her calm than in any kind of overt way, but it’s there. Outside of those things a person could be forgiven for completely overlooking her.
Background: Audley and her family originated in a tiny town in Nowhere, USA, and her life before Pern wasn’t much to speak of. Her father took off when Audley was young and her brother was just a baby, leaving their mother two small children to raise on her own. It wasn’t an uncommon story, unfortunately, but that didn’t stop the kids in Audley’s class from teasing her when she was little. Because of that the girl withdrew into herself, something that her overworked mother noticed but didn’t know how to fix.
When news of the Pernese expedition broke Audley’s mother decided to sign them up for it. Why not? There wasn’t really anything left for them on Earth, and it sounded like an exciting adventure. Neither of the children got a say in it and neither of them would have wanted one anyway. Both Audley and her brother were excited in their own way for the journey and the chance to get out of their tiny town.
At first life on Pern was idyllic. Landing was bustling and everything was new and bright and shiny. It was a little overwhelming, honestly, but Audley much preferred it to what they had left behind on Earth. When she turned 18 she apprenticed with the medical staff, putting her quiet and calm nature to use in treating those who had riskier professions.
Then Thread began to fall, and the idyllic world Audley had come to depend on turned upside down. With Thread, though, came the dragon program. Volunteering for the program was a risk that Audley was all too happy to take, because although that lifestyle would be much riskier than learning medicine, she felt she had to do something to defend the home she had come to know and love.
Injury Permissions: I’m alright with her being injured, but I’d rather her injuries not be super severe.
If I leave the site or become inactive... Audley will go about her business in the background. I’d like her to be archived.

Tibia is a brightly colored green. Shades ranging from a spring green to a mint green and even a lighter shade of lime color her hide, making her look like a piece of summer given firelizard form. Stripes in that light lime shade mark her neck, legs, and tail. The stripes lend Tibia's appearance a bit of fierceness.
Fierce her stripes may be but fierce her personality most certainly is not! Tibia is a sweet creature that wouldn't hurt a fly. She loves to cuddle with her bonded and will do silly things to cheer her - or anyone else, really - up if she feels it is needed. Unfortunately for her Tibia is not exactly the smartest firelizard on the planet, and her attention span can at times be microscopic. As Audley is already fond of saying - it's a good thing she's cute!
Tibia also has a tendency towards hoarding things. It doesn't matter what they are, or whether they're alive or not. If she can collect them she will certainly try to, and - for those things she is allowed to keep - she will sleep on them, just like those old mythological dragons were thought to do with any kind of treasure they had.
Age:A few months
A fairly dark colored green with swirls of lighter color along her body.
Personality:Calm, gentle, confident. A reliable friend.
Age: A few months
An orange colored bronze with a lighter, almost tan underbelly. He has darker stripes along his body that may remind some of the tiger from back on Earth.
Personality: Energetic, silly, a bit dumb. Thinks that three in the morning is the best time to play.

Asteleth, the Hibernal Gold
Hex Code: #f6da8b | Asteleth's speech.
Age: 0 [h. 11.09]
Appearance: Small and delicate for a gold, Asteleth will grow into a very graceful and pretty dragon. She is most easily recognized for her pale, pastel colouration: she is overall a very light gold, with the slightest iridescence to her hide. She takes on a soft rainbow of hues in the right light. Coupled with the faint speckling on her hide, she almost seems to glitter in the right lighting. Her belly is pale with brighter, richer hues on her back.
She has long, lean limbs, and an elegant, swan-like neck. She'll be a bit wobbly as a hatchling, to be sure, but when she's grown, Asteleth will be lovely to watch. Graceful afoot and in the air, she seems to simply glide along. However, she won't be as enduring as some of her sisters due to her lack of the same hearty bulk.
Personality: Patient and calm, Asteleth is best characterized as a mentor--and as a close friend. She is gently optimistic, a trait she shares with Tamoth, though she is not nearly as extreme as the other gold. Her warm, caring nature will always seek to buoy her rider up.
She always tries to see the best in everyone, and is one to always give the benefit of the doubt. She desires to help others as much as her rider does, though for Asteleth, the help she offers is more emotional than physical. And she'll always be looking for the best in Audley, too: her rider may try to cloud herself with self-doubt and self-deprecation, but Asteleth sees through all of that.
Not as fiery or energetic as some of her sisters, Asteleth is still steady and self-assured. She is a stable, reassuring presence to the other dragons and their riders, and unlike Teosinth, is unafraid to face conflict when she must. She's often soft, but there is a hidden well of strength in her that she knows how to draw on in times of need. Asteleth will always try to keep the peace and provide guidance to others, tending to act rather like the shepherd of a flock.
However, though she can be firm, she at times is a little uncertain about conflict and Threadfall. Her deep empathy and attentiveness makes her an incredibly kind and compassionate dragon--but that also means she may put too much of herself into trying to help others, and may have difficulty letting go when she must. To be a good leader, she will need to learn to overcome her fears, and to learn how to emotionally distance herself when she needs to. Fundamentally, Asteleth is a dragon who wants to do the right thing. She knows that Audley wants to do the right thing, too, and together, they'll have the strength to be able to do just that.
Mindvoice: Soft and gently warm: always clear, but never forces her way in. Asteleth's voice feels like a candle flickering in the darkness, the gentle glow of colourful lights, and the delicate chiming of bells.
Why Audley? Asteleth was drawn to the gentle and kind mind that came to see her. She sees so much goodness in Audley--someone who's humble and hard-working, and who knows what's right. But she also sees someone who needs help to realize that potential, and to learn how to stand up for herself. Asteleth wants Audley to realize her own worth, and she's committed to helping her do that as best as she can.
Relationships: One of the warmest minds in the clutch, Asteleth is on good terms with almost all her siblings. She doesn't have Tamoth's outgoing energy, but her gentleness and willingness to listen is usually favourably received. She is especially supportive of some of her more timid siblings, such as Trith, Eilianth, Solanth, and Teosinth. She is a mediating and guiding presence for strong minds like Kizath and Eyath, as well. Unlike Teosinth, she doesn't buckle easily under pressure from others: she'll always be a steady presence.
Inspiration: Hibernal season - Festive lights. Asteleth is a winter-themed dragon. She is based on the pockets of warmth in a time of cold--a candle flickering on a dark, snowy night, or the colourful Christmas lights shining against pale snow. She represents the positive aspects of winter: it is a time of year for people to remember to be kind to each other, as they huddle together for warmth. The name Asteleth is derived from Astel, a name meaning 'Sunlight Star' in Tolkien's Elvish language.
