The dim, soft lighting of the incubator cast deep shadows over Wind Blossom’s face.
Obscured as she was, no one would notice the faint worry lines on her forehead, nor the dark circles under her eyes as she studied the wrinkled shells.
Everything seemed to be developing normally. But perhaps it was too early to be sure. She’d followed the formulas, studied the techniques with care—
It had been the same with the first clutch, she told herself. Yet there was something that flickered at the edges of her consciousness—a tingling sense of dread that gnawed at her chest…
The wher hatching will start on February 14th. We’ll be accepting applications for wher Impressions up until February 10th at 11:59 PM PST.
- 10 eggs total.
- 3 queen eggs, 7 smaller eggs. One queen egg will be an NPC gold wher that Impresses to Wind Blossom. The rest are fair game: they might be duds, adoptables, or PC Impressions.
- Impression to a wher is not like with a dragon. The whers won’t seek out a partner the way the dragons do. The hatching will be most comparable to a firelizard hatching. To Impress, all your character has to do is walk up to a wher hatchling and stuff food in its face.
- This means that technically any character could Impress a wher, so long as they’re present when the hatching is occurring. Wind Blossom is allowing candidates’ families and a small group of interested students and researchers to attend this time.
- There won't be a viewing for this clutch. The eggs will hatch unexpectedly early.
The following notice has been posted up all over Landing. In some areas it has been graffitied over or torn down.
