With the end of the rains comes added hardship for the people of Landing. Fish have all but vanished with the storms--and while the larder is still stocked, it won't last long. Tensions are high, even as the council does their best to keep the grim news quiet.

Initial Form (Pre-Egg Viewing)

If you would like your character to Impress, you must send this form to The Red Star before the date of the egg viewing/Touching. Dragons are tailored to every candidate, so please fill out this form honestly to make it easier on us. You are permitted to have two candidates stand at a time for a Hatching, and you may have a maximum of two characters Impress (though there is no guarantee that they will both Impress). ‘Stands’ Impressions, or Impressions to non-candidate characters are not available at this time.

If at any point you change your mind, you are permitted to make changes in your post-viewing/Touching form. Changes will only be considered through these forms; any details or changes requested through other communication methods (regular PM or Discord) will be ignored. This is to help keep everything organized and in one place.

Please note that Impression is never guaranteed for any character, except through the purchase of a Guaranteed Impression token. If your character is about to age out, it will be taken into consideration; however, there is still a risk that they will age out before Impressing.

For more information on how dragon candidacy currently works, see our Candidacy and Hatching Info thread.

Dragon Candidate Form

CODE

[b]Character Name:[/b] Your character’s name.
[b]Profile Link:[/b] Link to your character’s bio here.
[b]Age:[/b] Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years old and a maximum of 26 years old.

[b]What would you like to see in a dragon your character Impresses?[/b]
Please list any personality traits or other features you would like for your dragon. At present the only available colours are gold, bronze, and brown—gold or brown for women, and bronze or brown for men—so there isn’t much choice available yet. There will be no greens or blues in the first few clutches, so please be aware of that!

[b]Why do you want a dragon for this character?[/b]
Let us know what sort of development are you hoping to achieve with your character's dragon. What do you hope to do with your character once they Impress? If you want a specific colour of dragon, why do you think this colour is a good fit for your character?

[b]Why does your character want a dragon?[/b]
Describe why your character chose to volunteer to be a rider. What are their expectations? Their hopes?

[b]Any dealbreakers?[/b]
List any traits or personality types you don’t want your dragon to have. If there’s a particular dragon colour you absolutely don’t want, you can mention that here too.

[b]Are you alright with your character being mauled, and if yes, to what extent?[/b]
If you don’t want your character to be mauled or if you want a specific kind of mauling, let us know here! Please be aware that severe injuries are very unlikely, given that the first dragon hatchlings will be approximately cat-sized (though like any kitty, they may scratch a little.)

[b]Is it crucial for your character to Impress at the next Hatching/Are there any specific circumstances of Impression you want?[/b]
If your character is in danger of aging out or you would like them to Impress alongside another character, let us know here. Alternatively, if you want them to be held back from Impression for any reason, state so here.

Post-Interaction Form

After the egg viewing/Touching, you have until one week before the Hatching date to send in your Post-Viewing/Touching form. To be considered for Impression, candidates must participate in the egg viewing.

Any changes to your preferences after the initial form is sent, and after the egg viewing has started, should be implemented through this form. Requests for changes through other methods will not be considered, for our own sake!

CODE

[b]Character Name:[/b]
[b]Eggs Met:[/b] List all the eggs your character talked with here.

[b]Which eggs do you think are a good fit for your character?[/b]
Please list which eggs you think fit your character well or interacted well, as well as any eggs you thought had a particularly interesting or good connection with your character.

[b]Which eggs do you not want for your character?[/b]
If there are any eggs you don't want for your character, or that your character doesn't want, list them here. If you feel that none of the eggs are a good fit and you don't want your character to Impress this round, please say so as well.

[b]Have your preferences changed since you sent in your original form?[/b]
If there is anything new you want for your character, or anything you have decided that you don't want, please mention it here.

Post-Hatching Candidate Form

Unfortunately your character didn't impress! Don't worry - that was bound to happen to some of us, because as always, we want to give the dragons the best variety of choice! We would like to hear how your character will react to this development. Please send this form to The Red Star after the Hatching if your character fails to Impress.

Not every candidate will impress. Sometimes it's just bad luck, or there were not enough of that type of dragon for each character. As we cater dragons specifically to each candidate, there may be times that a particular clutch didn't mesh well with your candidate, but we want to get additional details of what type of clutch might suit them! Other times, it could be In Character hurdles that Admin & Staff are having a hard time overcoming in regards to your character's impression. Perhaps something happened to your character during candidacy that held them back. The rigors of Candidacy are not for everyone, and even if the specialists don't reject a candidate outright that doesn't mean that the dragons won't. IC we'll offer ways for your character to overcome these flaws, but this form is to give us the idea of how we can do so!

CODE

[b]Character Name:[/b] Your character’s name.
[b]Profile Link:[/b] Link to your character’s bio here.
[b]Age:[/b] Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years old and a maximum of 26 years old.

[b]How will your character react to not impressing? Is there something specific you would like to see?[/b]
Describe what your character is going through. Let us know how this event has changed them.

[b]Do you still want a dragon for this character? Have your reasons for it changed?[/b]
Let us know if you still want a dragon and intend to keep them in candidacy. What sort of development are you hoping to achieve with your character's dragon?

[b]Does your character still want a dragon?[/b]
Describe why your character still wants to remain in the candidate program. Have their expectations changed now that they've witnessed the first hatching? Have their hopes changed?

[b]What kind of limitations does your character have?[/b]
Detail to us what kind of obstacles may have presented themselves for your character during candidacy and the hatching. Are these things obvious? Would Captain Juel or another specialist be able to help your character overcome this?

[b]How will your character overcome this snag in their path?[/b]
Tell us how your character is going to bounce back. Are they going to be more dedicated than ever? Do they need help? Is this something Captian Juel or the specialists can aid with?
